“It’s what you do with God’s word,” is the title of a broadcast message that our prophet, pastor and revivalist, Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn, recorded for radio around September 2018.

One thing I have noted about the grace of God: When we miss something, that he is trying to deliver to us through his word, he will bring it back up around the same time of year or season. His word will not return void.

Today, I want to share notes from that message, and it demonstrates just how long Chief Apostle Gunn has been trying to get us as saints to value the written, spoken and preached word. But we must choose to receive it.

The Lord decreed through Chief Apostle Gunn that those who truly received the message would see miracles, signs and wonders by the next day. Some of us may have missed the opportunity -- but the Word of God is a living word, and that message is still alive today. So, lets revisit.

But first, I want to testify about how I ended up finding the message from 2018, which can be played here.

I was reading about the valley of the dry bones in Ezekiel 37. God emphasized to me that it wasn’t just the word from God that the prophet spoke to the dry bones that caused them to live again, it was the response of the dry bones to the prophesying of God’s word. But what if they ignored it OR refused to respond?

The Prophet Ezekiel said: “And as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone…. and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.”

Imagine if we responded to what God has spoken and instructed, whether through our pastor or directly, the way the bones did? Have we allowed a shaking, a noise to come forth from our lives when the Word is sent? Have we stood on our feet at attention?

After reading that, I sought today to find where God had already spoken this to us as a church because so often our leader has already taught something that it may take us a while to finally realize. As I scrolled through the archive of our broadcast messages, God led me right to this message. And on it, Chief Apostle Gunn said:

·         There’s a power that comes through the keeping of the word.

·          God said: If you love me “keep” my commandments.

·         A word comes from God to make us responsible, but —if we don’t want to yield to it —we change the channel, but changing the channel doesn’t change God's mind.

·         It is the time to respond to the word.

·         Miracles and signs and wonders are set to go out with the word, but the role we are to play is to have a receptive heart and not let it drop to the floor.

·         On Monday--and throughout the week--we have all these problems because we didn’t pay attention to the provision God sent for us in his word when we are taught during service and other interactions.

·         Receiving the teaching is the lifeline you need today.

Here is more from that message:

◦ The Lord said in this broadcast there’s a special anointing of healing going out, especially for the elders. Chief Apostle Gunn saw God’s hand and spirit moving and healing.

◦ By tomorrow morning the ones who receive this word will note miracles, signs and wonders in their lives.

◦ Chief was showed by God the earth like a prune. It was not nearly the size God intended it to be nor filled with all of the sweetness and peace he intended because of what Adam and Eve did with God’s word.

◦ It’s what you do with God’s word of deliverance that activates the power. Even how clean our homes and lives are and how we prepare meals for and nurture our families is tied to what we are doing with God’s word of deliverance.

◦ Backbiting and whispering, complaining and lying is the root of rebellion and is evil. These started on Earth with the serpent in the garden. The devil used him to twist God’s word and backbite, whisper, complain, and lie to Adam and Eve. And the earth has never reached its full potential and God’s full intention since then, all because of what was done and not done with God’s word.

◦ A bootlegger and a fool always has a complaint about the church and God’s people.

◦ We’ve all counted God and his word as nothing. The pastor labors, aches, fasts, prays, gives, lays out before God, and sows time to reach us via God’s word and direction. Yet, we just throw it away.

◦ We must prove and test our hearts as to what we have done with God’s word and choose to work on letting his word guide us. If we do, it will eliminate confusion in our lives, in the church and beyond.

◦ We have the word in confession but not in profession – how we live and what we do.

◦ We must sanctify ourselves away from this age, the wickedness and fashions of this world, because we have given our heart too much room to push out the priorities of God in our lives.
