We’re Running Out Of Time! - Word of the Week

Yes, It's a New Year, But We’re Running Out Of Time!

This week on For Real Radio Broadcast Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn started things off with a sobering message from God: “The Lord said we don’t have time to waste with our children.”

Through obedience to Him, God is clearly trying to get us to reconstruct our lives with him and our families starting with the children. The previous blog posts and radio broadcasts told us how. These back-to-back messages tell us to build on a firm foundation so that we can stand. Without Jesus, there is no success, no standing, and no true living. The children must be taught and here’s why....

Chief said 12-17-year-old children are going to school with weapons and the reason is that “they are not being de-weaponized at the house.” These are some of the reasons why God has given Chief the critical messages we’ve heard lately, such as: “Cancel Christmas...A New Balance” and there has to be a “Relationship Reconstruction” in God.” Chief explained this week on the Broadcast that Jesus has to start in our hearts in order to be manifested in our lives.

He said, “our children need to see Jesus manifested in our lives and in our homes in order for them to be changed.” Think about that for a moment. If Jesus is not real to you then what examples do your children have? Who and what are they being taught?

In this message, Chief Apostle shows us that it’s not the guns, much less the politics of the time that’s the problem. What is the problem? Its people lacking the acknowledgment of Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It’s people who are only saved during church time, but not the rest of the week that’s the problem. It’s not living for God and not teaching our children about God at the house that's the problem. Do you find yourself in any of these categories? If you do, then it’s time to change.

The Lord already said it, and it’s the point of this message: “we don’t have any time to waste.'' A rededication of our hearts and lives has to take place NOW! This rededication includes all of you, and your money as well as your success. All belongs to God.

Waiting on the wrong things leads to time wasted. It’s not that people can’t play sports, but Chief gave the following example about how we can esteem athletes or dedicate ourselves to being an athlete but not give that much energy to God. People will work and wait for years and years for sports.

He said football players go out and get injured. They will go through surgery after surgery and run up and down with their “lives dedicated to a pigskin,” but don’t have enough to give to God. They will sleep on the way to church, and won’t stand up one time to say thank you to the Lord because hell is trying to turn them into a false hero. He said, “There is no heroism without God because he is the fountain of all good.”

Do you thank God for his hand at work in your life? Do you love Jesus for who he is? Or are you trying to be a false hero with worldly success and gain?

In this dangerous time, people are not getting hurt on their own. Somebody is doing the hurting and like Chief Apostle said its somebody’s child that is doing the kidnapping, killing, and victimization that’s taking place in society. It begins in the home. Children should be able to go to school and come home safe without facing down bullets or the barrel of a gun because of someone else’s refusal to teach their children.

Think about the type of media that the children are being fed continuously through tablets, mobile phones, computers, television shows, etc. While mama and daddy are preoccupied, too busy with work or trying to still be young themselves, the media is teaching the children and it’s teaching them hell. Parents are not spending enough time with their children to deposit what’s right in them. Chief mentioned at a previous service that some parents are working too many jobs or hours because they aren’t trusting God. God would not have us to leave our children to themselves.

The word says in Mark 8:36: "For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul?"

Greed is forcing parents to work two, three and four Jobs, but unless God is sending you on a mission or to be a witness, that second Job, as Chief Apostle puts it, is not in God’s will, and “you don’t have time to waste because you have a child to raise.” Before you say I have responsibilities: What happened to your responsibility to God and trusting Him to provide? God said to seek him first!

Ask yourself how much your soul is worth to you? How much the soul of your child, or someone else’s soul is worth to you? The truth is, if yours doesn’t matter to you, then neither will anyone else’s. If Jesus is not real to you, then you can’t tell the children anything. We can’t continue to give in to the error, family cycle and/or bloodline curse of “do as I say and not as I do.” Children have eyes. They are going to do what they see you do, and if it’s Jesus, then they will show Jesus. If it’s hell, then they will show hell.

As Chief Apostle Gunn said before, we can’t give Christmas all the groceries and leave the rest of the year starving. The groceries are feeding your spirit to love Jesus and to have joy in Jesus, which comes from a daily seeking, a daily surrender, a prayer life. The more you do these things daily and teach the children the same, and the more they hear you crying out to Jesus and praising God with all your might, then you will see the changes take place not only in your life but theirs also. It’s time to reconstruct and rebuild Jesus in our lives and homes. As Chief Apostle said, “It’s time to teach the children Jesus now.”

Pray with your children! He asked: What if we (as a people, a nation) were really taught Jesus as children? Who would we want to kill? Who would we want to rob? Who as a child, would we want to rape?

Having been in this ministry for a few years now, God has allowed me to hear the word of God preached through Chief Apostle H. C. Gunn. I mention this because I recall a day a few years ago while Chief was teaching and he said: “When there’s no love in the home, the streets catch hell.”

Now, years later at the start of a New Year, God is showing us how to walk out of the old and into the new...to go past the world’s tradition of New Year's resolutions into family and relationship reconstruction with Jesus as the foundation. It starts at home! Teaching starts at home. Family building, kingdom-building starts at home.

The Word has come saints!
