The foolish prophet and the destructive foxes: The Watch Letter
According to Scripture, we are worse than foxes when we follow our own spirit and make ourselves blind to God. A person without God’s vision and only looking inward will surely fall, slip, and trip and knock down everything in their path.
Why? Because self, which is a foolish prophet, is blinding and destructive. When we prophesy to ourselves out of an unclean heart, void of God’s will, we have chosen a life of woe (Ezekiel 13:1-8).
It may look like we’ll make it or can avoid consequences for a while, but trouble is around the corner.
Proverbs 16:18: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
How do we avoid being led astray and into destruction by the foxes of our hearts and spirits?
Last Sunday, Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn ministered the word with great power and authority, and if we listen, we can keep ourselves from convincing ourselves to come from under the blessing and protection of God.
In the Old Testament days, false and misleading prophets faced the consequences of losing their kingdom rights and even excommunication.
Is leading ourselves and others the wrong way worth being on the outside of where God is and what God is doing? These are the things that are little foxes aka causing us to operate in compromise to God.
Song of Solomon tells us that “little foxes spoil the vines.”
Here’s how we can all change, according to Chief Apostle Gunn’s message and insights from the Lord:
◦ Listen to counsel and take Godly advice.
◦ Stop avoiding the truth and those that walk in truth.
◦ Stop just focusing on “me and my.”
◦ Go with God’s plan and what he says.
◦ Care about knowing what’s not God’s plan.
◦ Don’t let your feelings, emotions, and sensitivities cause you to hold back on God.
◦ Be willing to bear your cross.
◦ Choose to have the support of God in your decisions by obeying his truth.
◦ Stop being drunk with self. Be sober-minded, not double-minded.
◦ Know that you can’t surprise or outsmart God.
◦ Let God deal with your failures, betrayals, feelings, and what you’re facing, even if it’s not what/how you think it should be.
◦ Let prayer change your mind. Don’t let your life be dependent on others praying for you. You pray.
◦ Stay on the right side of the cross. Don’t just talk about the cross, be about it.
◦ Don’t park/hold back your relationship with God because of your hurt and letdowns.
◦ Don’t let feelings cripple you because that’s not God’s original intent for our lives. God didn’t make infirmity, inability, frailties, nor withered limbs; that came through the sin and satanic ways of Adam.
◦ Know that he took our sicknesses, sorrow, and sin on the cross. God didn’t give those things to us.
◦ Choose to be free by admitting your wrong actions and wrong beliefs.
◦ Believe that truth is not the way you think or others think. It’s what God thinks.
◦ Make up your mind for God, and come out of unstable ways.
Listening to and applying the Word of God will change your mind, your life, your feelings, and open your eyes.
