TRUE BLUE

I was recently blessed to get a new car, and it’s blue! I would never have imagined having a blue car, but God wanted me to have one. My Pastor and Pop Pop said my car represents "True Blue."

Yesterday, I discovered that true blue speaks to someone dependable and accountable. God picked this car out for me, and for him to speak about my character and to tell me that I am dependable brings me joy!

God knows us, and he made us! Let your character be godly and holy, and let’s live like and represent our Father in heaven. The Lord created us, and he knows who we are meant to be, but because we are in a fallen world, different influences in this world will have you thinking and acting like someone who God didn’t create you to be. God knows our hearts, and he knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows the battle we have against our flesh, and it is deceiving.

Ask God who he created you to be! We have to put away these fake personas and live like God created us to be. Our spirit knows the truth of who we are to be, and our flesh knows it too! And that’s why we battle with it so much, and different things will come to steer us off the path we are meant to be on. Pray and seek God, ask what his will is for you, and ask him who he created you to be! - Pastor Amaya

**Editor's note: We are so proud of Pastor Amaya! God blessed her with this car because she has been faithful. Her testimony is proof that you don't have to go after material things. God will provide for you as you follow him! She committed to God to write this blog, lead the youth choir, honor him in her profession as a nurse, be a role model for her siblings, and most of all, stay committed to being a saved young lady! And she has not gone back on that commitment all these years.

She could have pursued earthly things, but she went after God, and he sent blessings after her. She gave up going after the car she thought she wanted twice and sought the car God wanted for her. And when she had other opportunities to get a new car, she used some of the money she had instead to sow and give to others in need, and then God rewarded her.
