The Book of Acts

In service recently, Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn said we need to act like the Book of Acts, and that we need to read it.

I have started reading it a few weeks ago and it shows how the disciples always stood on the word of God and that they were healing, saving, and delivering others.

They reminded the people that Jesus' innocent blood was shed but he didn’t do it in vain. Miracles and healings were performed through them, but they always gave the glory to God. Knowing that they can’t do anything without Jesus.

In Acts, a disciple walked by and even in his shadow people were healed through the power of the Holy Ghost. God wants us to be his vessels too, but we have to stand for him no matter what.

What the disciples did in Acts is very encouraging to me.

They didn’t stop after Jesus was crucified and resurrected but they kept doing the Father’s will. I’m still reading it but it shows you how important it is to serve God and live for him, and help others be saved as well.

The disciples tried to help and bless everyone who would receive it, and they reminded everyone of what Jesus did for them and how they needed to repent for their sins.

The explained the plan of salvation and how a innocent man (Jesus) was killed by the people, but he took on all of our sin and guilt despite of that, and died on the cross so we can be spotless without blemish.

Jesus did his part but we have to do ours. We have to decide to be saved, holy, clean, live right, serve God, etc. We can’t slack when it comes to doing our part. God is a great and amazing God. We need to show God our gratitude because without the sacrifice he made and without him we would be lost.
