God’s Family

Recently at service, Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn was explaining how family is what makes the church.
Many times we go to church, but we are just a physical body taking up a seat.
The church starts in our homes and in our hearts. Imagine if we didn’t have a physical building to go to, would that mean we still can’t have church or be a church? No, it doesn’t.
God wants us as a family to seek him, love him, and talk to him together, and that as a family we be on one accord with one another in Christ.
We are supposed to be rooted in Christ, and when we get to church, we just grow and learn more and move further in Christ together. God is love, and God wants us to love him and one another, and this is the biggest commandment.
Like my apostle said, God called Adam to serve him, and then he made a wife for him so they could be a family together with God, Jesus, and His Spirit.
First, we have to want God to be our father, and then we can be a family towards one another. It’s also not just about bloodline, either, because Christ welcomed everyone to be a part of his family, no matter who you are.
We all can be the body of Christ, but it has to start in our hearts and in our homes.
"Oh, when the saints go marching in, I want to be in that number."
Would you welcome a random stranger into your home? No, you wouldn’t. So we can’t be welcomed into God’s home if we treat him as a stranger and if we don’t love him with our entire being and one another.
Read Romans 12; it breaks down what love is.
Love you all!
