Communion is Choosing to Abide Even After the Betrayal and the Sacrifice

Abide in me and I will abide in you.

We were made to serve and live for God. God wants us to abide in him because we belong to him. A few Sundays ago, we had communion and when reading 1 Corinthians 11, we read that Jesus broke bread, and gave thanks after being betrayed.

Jesus knew what his mission was and how is life would end, yet he chose to abide in his father and be obedient.

Jesus loves us so much that he gave his life for us, and he knew everything that would take place.

God gave up his only son for us so we can be redeemed. Jesus wanted us to be free from sin, because he knows the glory ahead.

We can’t focus on the things of this earth, but the glory ahead--that is eternity with God our father.

God also had the mindset for us to live with him, and he did everything for us to still be able to live with him, but it’s our choice and we can’t blame it on anybody else (if we don't choose it).

How we live, is how we die: so choose to abide!
