Check Your Fruit

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

-Love (Agape): Unconditional, selfless, and sacrificial care for others.
-Joy: A deep, lasting inner gladness and contentment that is not dependent on circumstances.
-Peace: A tranquil state of mind and harmony with God and others, free from anxiety.
-Patience (sometimes translated as forbearance): The ability to endure difficult situations, delays, or the faults of others without anger.
-Kindness: A tender, compassionate, and helpful disposition toward others.
-Goodness: Moral excellence, integrity, and doing what is right and beneficial.
-Faithfulness: Loyalty, trustworthiness, and steadfast commitment to God and people.
-Gentleness (or meekness): Humility, grace, and a calm, mild approach to others.
-Self-Control: The discipline and restraint to govern one's own desires, actions, and impulses

I decided to research these definitions from various sources to truly understand what God requires of us.

What kind of fruit are we producing: fruit of the spirit or fruit of the flesh?

Think about your life right now and how you are living.

Fruit of the flesh goes against everything God requires of us. It’s rotten, spoiled, and stinky fruit.

God wants us to have a sweet-smelling aroma, not a musty one. We don’t think enough about the condition of our lives spiritually and how God sees everything.

We may not naturally be musty, but if you are living unclean and unholy lives, then the aroma is not pleasing to God because we are not pleasing him.

Reflect on the fruit of the Spirit and how God can perfect these things in us. The more we grow, learn, listen, obey, and follow his word, the Holy Spirit will help us to cultivate, produce, and maintain our fruit.

In everything, choose to please the Lord and live life for Him and not for yourself. We are here only because of God, and no one else.

He is our creator, and he loves us very much.
